S.O. 783(E).—The following Order made by the President is published for general information.
ORDER
In pursuance of the provisions of article 280 of the Constitution of India and of the Finance Commission (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1951 (33 of 1951), the President hereby directs that in the order dated the 20th June, 1982 [published with the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Econo- mic Affairs) No. S.O. 434(E), dated the 21st June, 1982] :—
(a) in paragraph 2, for the words, figures and letters "the 31st day of October, 1983", the words, figures and letters "the date of making the final report by the Commission or the 29th day of (b) in paragraph 11, for the portion beginning with the words "The Commission shall make its report" and ending with the figures, letters and words "1st day of April, 1984" the following shall be substituted, namely :—
"The Commission shall make an interim report by the 15th November, 1983, covering as many of the matters mentioned above as possible and covering the year commencing on the 1st day of April, 1984; and make the final report by the 29th February, 1984 on each of the maters aforesaid and covering a period of five years commencing on and from the 1st day of April, 1984."
