NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th October, 1983
2 THI£ GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART H—SEC. 3(ii)] for a further period of one year from the 10th November, 1983;the management of Auroville was vested in the Central Government for a period of two years from the 10th day of November 1980 initially and thereafter extended for another one year vide Govenment of India in the Ministy of Education and Culture Notification S.O. No. 783(E), dated the 6thv November, 1982 published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the November 6, 1982;
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that in order to secure the proper manage- ment of Auroville it is expedient that such manage- ment should continue to vest in that Government Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers confer- red^ by the proviso to sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby directs that the managemen of Auroville shall con- tinue to vest in the Central Government for a further period of one year from the 10th November, 1983.
