ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF INDIA

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 3rd November, 1983GSR 817(E).—Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred under rule 2B of the Antiquities and Art Treasures Rules, 1973, read with proviso to clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Antiquisties and Art Treasures Act, 1972 (52 of 1972), the Central Government, with a view to (1) 982 GI/83

determine whether the author of items of jewellery mentioned in the Government of India notifica- tion No. GSR. 664(E) published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) dated the 8th November, 1982 is alive, and notified that any person knowing such, author to have been alive within thirty years would make known to the Director General, Archaeological Survey of India Janpath, New Delhi-110011, the name of the author and the fact of the author being alive and his address, or, as the case may be, the date on which the author was last seen alive and the last known address of the author.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers con- ferred by clause (b) of rule 2B of the said Rules, the Central Government hereby notifies that any person having such knowledge shall make known the name of the author and the fact of the author being alive and his, or, as the case may be, the date on which the author was last seen alive and the last known address of the author within a period of two months from the date of publication of this noti- fication in the Official Gazette.
