NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 28th October, 1983S.O.796(E).—whereas in pursuance of the provisions of sub-section(l) of section 3 of the Auroville (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1980 (59 of 1980) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the management of Auroville was vested in the Central Government for a period of two years from the 10th day of November 1980 initially and thereafter extended for another one year vide Government of India in the Ministry of Education and Culture Notification S.O.No.783(E), dated 1000GI/83 0)

the 6th November, 1982 published in the Gazette of India, Part n, Section 3, Sub-section (ii)f dated the November 6,1982.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers con- ferred by the proviso to sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby directs that the management of Auroville shall continue to vest in the Central Government for a further period of one year from the 10th Novem- ber, 1983.

[No. F. 27-3|83-UU(Aur)] And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that in order to secure the proper manage- ment of Auroville it is expedient that such manage- ment should continue to vest in that Government for a further period of one year from the 10th November, 1983;
