Subject:—Import & Export Policy for April 1983—March 1984.
File No. 2/7/83—EPC:—Attention is invited to the Import
& Export Policy for April 1983—March 1984, published in the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 10—ITC(PN)/83 dated the 15th April, 1983, as amended.
2. The following amendment shall be deemed to have been
made in the policy at appropriate places indicated below:—

After the existing sub-clause (v), the following further Chapter 17 Registered
Exporters, Sub-para 148 (3).
sub clause shall be added:— "(vi) Import of Raw silk, Silk fabrics/thread/yarn/- waste/noils will not be allowed under this provision".
3. REP licences already endorsed for import of Raw silk,
and other items referred to in para 2 above, under sub-para
148(2) of Import Export Policy (Vol. 1). 1983-84 before the date
of this Public Notice, shall cease to be valid for import of these
items except to the extent of irrevocable letters of credit opened
and established before the date of this Public Notice, against
which shipment of goods is mide within a period of 90 dayj
from the date of this Public Notice.
