NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 16th November. 1983

S.O. 815 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- clause (xvii) of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1981 (40 of 1981), the Central Government, being of opinion that strikes in any service in the Hotels (including restaurants attached thereon) in the Union territories of Delhi and Goa, Daman & Diu; and the transport units of India Tourism Development Corporation in the Union territory of Delhi would prejudicially affect the maintenance of the public j utility service, hereby declares every such service to be an essential service for the purpose of the said Act.
