G.S.R. 846 (EL):—In exorcise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India ID the Ministry of Fiuanoe (Department of Revenue) No. 81/83— Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1983, namely—

In the Schedule annexed to the said notification, after SI. No. 88 and the entry relating thereto, the following SI. No. and entry shall be inserted, namely:—

"89 No. 272/83-CentraI Excises, dated the 18th

November 1983."

G.S.R. 847(E):—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is nece- ssary IB the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be amended or further amen- ded, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corres- ponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.

In the said notification, in the

proviso,—

215—Customs, dated the 1st November, 1980.

(a) in item (iii), the word "and" occurring ;i( the end, shall be omitted:

(b) after item (iv), the follo- wing item shall be inserted, namely:—

"(v) mixtures or blends of ocllulosio fibre with non-ccllulosio fibre".

2 276—Customs, dated the 14th December, 1982

In the said notification, after tho opening paragraph and before the Table, the folluwmg provi- so shall be uiserted, namely:— "Provided that the exe- mption contained in this nolificition '.hall not apply to mixtures or blends of cellulosio fibre referred to in the said Table wilh non- oellulosie fibre".

3. 38—Customs, dated the 1st March, 1983

In the sajd notification, after (he proviso, the lolloping further proviso shall be inserted, namely:—
