FOREIGN TRAVEL TAX
GSR 849 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Finance Act, 1979 (21 ot 1979), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient so to do, herebj exempts the Heads of Governments and theii spouses, delegates, officials and foreign media representatives, coming to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Governments Meeting to be held in New Delhi from the 23rd November, 1983 to the 29th November, 1983, from paymral of foreign travel tax leviable under sub-section (1) of section 35 of the said Act, in respect of their international journey to any place outside India at the close ol the said meeting.
2. This Notification shall remain in force upto and inclusive of
the 5th December, 1983.
