New Delhi, the 21st November, 1983
S.O. 848 (E).—Whereas election has been held in pursuance of the notification No. S.O. 787(E) dated the 1st November, 1983 issued under section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), for the purpose of filling the seat of a member of the Council of States elected by the members of the electoral college of the Union territory of Delhi who retired on 15th April, 1980 on the expiration of his term of office;
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 71 of the said Act, the name of the member elected by the members of the electoral college of the Union territory of Delhi is hereby notified for general information :—
