O.N. 107(E).—Whereas a vacancy has occur- red in the House of the People by reason of the death of Shri Mahmood Hassan Khan, a mem- ber elected to that House from 78-Bulandshahr Parliamentary constituency in the State of Uttar Pradesh;
2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART TT—Snc. 3(iiJ)]O.N. 108(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the Peo- ple Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Elecion Com- mission hereby appoints, with respect to the by- election to be held in 78-Bulandshahr Parliament- ary constituency in the State of Uuttar Pradesh in pursuance of its Notification No. 100|UP-HP| 1|82(1), dated 23rd November, 1983 :—
(a) 30th November, 1983 (Wednesday), as
the last dale for making nominations;
(b) 1st December, 1983 (Thrusday), as the
date for the scrutiny of nominations;
(c) 3rd December, 1983 (Saturday), as th~ last date for the withdrawal of candi- dature;
(d) 23rd December, 1983 (Friday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
(e) 31st December, 1983 (Saturday), as the date before which the election shall be completed.

O.N. 109(E).—In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken for the bye-election to the House of the People from. 78-Bulandshahr constituency to be held in pursuance of its Notification No. 100|UP- HP|1|82(1), dated the 23rd November, 1983.
