O.N. 113(E).—Whereas a vacancy has occur- red in the House of People by reason of the re- signation of Shri Devilal, a member elected to tha House from 4-Sonepat Parliamentary Consti- tutency in the State of Haryana,
Now, herefore, in pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 149 of the Represen- tation of the People ACT 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby calls upon the said constituency to elect a. person to fill the said vac- ancy before 31st December, 1983 (Saturday), in accordance with the previsions of the said Act and the Rules orders made thereunder.
2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART I I -S E C. 3(iii)]O.N. 114(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the Peo- ple Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Com- mission hereby appoints, with respect to the bye- election to be held in 4-Sonepat Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Haryana in pur- suance to its notification No. 100|HN-HP]l|82 (1), dated 23rd November, 1983,
(a) the 30th November, 1983 (Wednesday), as the last date for making nomina- tions;
(b) the 1st December, 1983 (Thrusday), as
the date for scrutiny of nominations;
(c) the 3rd December, 1983 (Saturday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures;
(d) the 23rd December, 1983 (Friday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken; and
(e) the 31st December, 1983 (Saturday), as the date before which the election shall be completed.

O.N. 115(E).—In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours' from 8.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. as the hours during which a poll shall, if neces- sary, be taken at the bye-election to the House of the People from 4-Sonepat Parliamentary Constituency to be held in pursuance of its noti- fication No. 100|HN-HP|l|82 (I) dated 23rd November, 1983.
