NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th November, 1983
G. S. R. 863(E).—Whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary and expedient in the public in- terest to exempt certain classes of person from the operation of certain provisions of the Arms Act, 1959 (54 of 1959) as amend- ed by the Amis (Amendment) Act, 1983 (25 of 1983);
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sec- tion 41 of that Act, the Central Government hereby exempts all the members of Indian Team participating in the forthcoming Asian Shooting Championship Competition at New Delhi to be held during November-December, 1983; from the provision of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Arms Act, 1959 (54 of 1959) lor a period of two months from the date of publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette.
