NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 29th November, 1983S.O. 867(E).—In exercise of the powers confer- red by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976) the Central Government, on being requested so to do by State Bank of India, establishes, with effect from the 30lh November, 1983 a Regional Rural Bank in the Union Territory of Arunachal Pradesh under the name of Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank, which shall operate within the local limits of the Districts of East Siang; West Siang; Upper Subansiri and Lower Subansiri in the Union Territory of Aruna- chal Pradesh. S.O. 868(E).—In exercise of the powers confer- red by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Regional Rural Bonks "Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government, after consultation with the Reserve Bank of India and State Bank of India by which Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank has been sponsored, specifies Pasighat as the place where Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank shall have its head office.

S.O. 869CE).—In pursuance of sub-clause (iii) of clause (a) of sub-section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934), the Central Gov- ernment hereby notifies, for the purposes of the said sub-clause, Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank, Pasighat being an institution established under sub- section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976).

[No. F. l-20|82-RRB(IHYI S.O. 870(E).—In exercise of the powers con- ferred by sub-section (1) of section 11 of^the Re- gional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Cntral Government hereby appoints Shri K. R. Nandi as Chairman of the Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank, Pasighat and specifies the period commenc- ing on the 30th November, 1983 and ending with the 30th November, 1986 as the period for which the said Shri K. R. Nandi shall hold office as such Chairman.
