S. O. 876(E).—Whereas the Central Govern- ment is of the opinion that the recognition grant- ed to the Saurashtra Oil and Oilseeds Association Ltd., Rajkot, (hereinafter referred to as the said Association) under the provision of the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952 (74 of 1952), by the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industries notification Nos.:
(i) S. O. No. 539 dated 5th March, 1959 in respect of forward contracts hi groundnut kernels and subsequent amendment by S. O. No. 3366, dated the 2nd November, 1962, wherein the words "groundnut kernels" have been substituted by word 'ground- nut';
(iii) S. O. 2854 dated 30th November, 1961, in respect of forward contracts in cotton seed.
should, hi the interest of the trade and in public interest, be withdrawn;
2. And whereas the Central Government has given a reasonable opportunity to the said Associ- ation to be heard in the matter;
3. Now, therefore, hi exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby withdraws the permanent re- cognition granted under the aforementioned Noti- fications to the said Association hi respect of for- ward contracts hi groundnut, groundnut oil, and cotton seeds with effect from 2nd December, 1983.
