New Delhi, the 1st December, 1983
S.O. 877(E).—In exercise of the powers confer- red by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976) the Central Government, oil being requested so to do by Canara Bank, establishes, with effect from the 2nd December, 1983 a Regional Rural Bank in the State of Uttar Pradesh under the name of Jamuna Gramin Bank, which shall operate within the local limits of the District of Agra in the State of Uttar Pradesh.
2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)]S.O. 878(E).—In exercise of the powers confer- red by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976) the Central Government, after consultation with the Reserve Bank of India and Canara Bank by which Jamuna Gramin Bank has been sponsored, specifies Agra as the place where Jamuna Gramin Bank shall have its Head Office.

S.O. 879(E).—In pursuance of sub-clause (iii) of clause (a) of sub-section (6) of section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934) the Central Government hereby notifies, for the pur- poses of the said sub-clause, Jamuna Gramin Bank, Agra being an institution established under sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976).
[No. F. 1-3|83-RRB(III)] S.O. 88O(E).—In exercise of the powers confer- red by sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976) the Central Government hereby appoints Shri M. Urukundappa as Chairman of the Jamuna Gramin Bank, Agra and specifies the period commencing on the 2-12-1983 and ending with the 31-12-1986 as the period for which the said Shri M. Urukundappa shall hold office as such Chairman

NOTIFICATION

S.O. 881(E).—In pursuance of clause (a) sub- section (6) of Section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934), the Reserve Bank of India hereby directs the inclusion in the Second Schedule to the said Act of the following bank, namely :—
"Jamuna Gramin Bank, Agra (Uttar Pradesh)".
