S.O. 891(E).—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Com- merce No S. O. 702CE), dated tre 7th December, 1978 (hereinafter referred to as the said Order), the management of the Tea Unit known as Char- gola Tea Estate, P.O. Ratabari, Karimganj Sub- Division, District Cachar, Assam, owned by M|s. Chargola Tea Company Ltd., P-4. New I-Towrah Bridge, Approach Road, Calcutta-70000J was taken over under section 16D of the Tea Act, 1953 (29 of 1953), for a period of five years upto and inclusive of the 6th December, 1983, and the Tea Trading Corporation of India Ltd., And whereas the Central Government of the opinion that it is expedient in the public interest that the said tea unit should continue under the management of Tea Trading Corpora- tion of India Ltd., Calcutta for a further period upto the 30th June, J984;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers con- ferred by the proviso to sub-section (2) of sec- tion 16D of the Tea, Act, 1953 (29 of J953), the Central Government hereby directs that the said Order shall continue to have effect for a further period upto and inclusive of the 30th June, 19R4.
