No. 5/20/83-EP (T&JiII] S.O. 929 (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (i) of section 9 of the Industrial (Develcpraent and Regulation Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby specifies the ;laiisi of g'M.ts mniifaiturjj or produce 1 wholly or in part of jute in the Scheduled Industry of textiles as mentioned in column (2) of the Table below on which a duty of excise shall be levied and collected as a cess for the purposes of the said Act, for the period commencing on and from the dated of publication of this notification in the Official Ga'zette
