ORDER
S.O. 937(E)| 18 AA|IDRA| 83.—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industrial Development No. S.O. 529 (E)|18AA|IDRA|74, dated the 6th September, 1974 as modified by the Order No. S.O. 134(E)| 18AA|IDRA|79, dated the 13th March, 1979 (hereinafter referred to as the said Order), the Central Government had authorised the Secretary, Closed and Sick Industries Department, Govern- ment of West Bengal, now called Secretary, In- dustrial Reconstruction Department, Government of West Bengal (hereinafter referred to as the said authorised person) to take over the management of Messrs India Belting and Cotton Mills Limited, Serampore, West Bengal (hereinafter referred to as the said industrial undertaking) for a period of And, whereas, the Central Government being of opinion that it is expedient in the public interest that the said Order should continue to have effect after the expiry of the period of five years aforesaid, had issued directions from time to time, for such continuance for a further period upto and inclusive of the 31st December, 1983 (vide orders of the Government of India in the Ministry of In- dustry (Department of Industrial Development) Nos. S.O. 512(E)118AA|IDRA|79, dated the 4th September, 1979 S.O. 749(E)|18AA!lDRA|80, dated the 5th September, 1980, S.O. 684(E)| 18AA|IDRA|81, dated the 4th September, 1981, S.O. 125(E)|18AA|IDRA|82, dated the 5th March, 1982, S.O. 648(E)118AA|IDRAj82, dated the 4th September, 1982, S.O. 158(E)|18AA[ IDRA|83, dated the 4th March, 1983, and S.O. 386(E)|l8AAjIDRA|83, dated the 31st May, 1983;
And, whereas, the Central Government is of the opinion that it is expedient in the public interest that the management of the said industrial under- taking by the said authorised person should con- tinue for further period upto 30th June, J 984;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers con- ferred by sub-section (2) of section 18AA of the Industrial (Development and Regulation) Act. 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Governmeni hereby directs that the said Order shall continue to have effect for a further period upto and inclusive of 30th June, 1984.
