New Delhi, the 30th December, 1983
S.O. 946(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (3) of section 1 of the Chit Funds Act, 1982 (40 of 1982), the Central Government hereby appoints the 2nd day of January, 1984, as the date on which the provisions of the said Act shall come into force in the State of Karnataka.
