NOTIFICATION
No. 3O3|83-CENTRAL EXCISES
G.S.R. 938(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby exempts tea, falling under sub-item (1) of Item No. 3 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), and produced in Zone m specified in the the Table annexed to the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Deparment of Revenue) No. 184]81-Central Excises, dated the 5th November, 1981, from so much of the duty of excise leviable thereon under the said Act at the rate fixed by the said notification in relation to the said Zone as is in excess of the amount calculaed at the rate of twenty paise per kilogram.
2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive o£ the 31st December, 1985.
