NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd January, 1984
G.S.R. 5(E).—• Whereas the draft of the fol- lowing notification was published us required by sub-section (2) of section 6 of Indian Ports Act, 1 9 0 8 ( 15 of 1908) at pages 1953-54 of the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), dated 3rd -September, 1983, under the notifi- cation of the Government of India in the Ministry of Shipping & Transport (Ports Wing) No. G.S.R. 651, dated the 8th August, 1983, proposing to amend the "Scale of Boat Hire charges" fixed under Government Notification, Ministry of Ship- ping and Transport (Ports Wing) No. G.S.R. 3 83 dated the 2nd February 1.981 published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Subsection (i), at page 384, (hereinafter referred to as the said Notification) and fur that purpose inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby, before the expiry of a period of sixty days from the date of publication of the said notification in the Official Gazette;
And whereas the Gazette copies of the said Notification were made available to the public on the 10th September, 19S3;
And whereas no objections or suggestions bavc been received from the public before the expiry of the period aforesaid;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers con- ferred by clause (k) of sub-section (1) of section 6 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby amends the said Notification, as follows, name- ly :_
In the said notification of the Government of India,—in the Ministry of Shipping & Transport No. G.S.R. 183, dated the 2nd February, 1981, after the existing Note following heading and en- tries thereunder shall be added namely —
"2 Schedule of Maximum rate of charge for removal of Garbage from ships lying at moorings by licensed raw boats owned by private parties and transport- ing the same to the City Garbage Dump.

Ped boot load in full or part trereof per ship Rs. 300.
NOTE : The above rate is inclusive of all charges incurred towards Boat Hire from shore to ship in mooring and back to shore at the appointed place, labour for loading of garbage from vessel and unloading of the garbage from Boat to share, charges for the use of lifting gear if any, trans- porting from landing point to the city garbage dum.
