G.S.R. 7(E).—In exercise of the powers confer
red by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts printed picture stickers falling under Heading No. 49.08/11 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) and published separately as part of the relevant series of children's picture books, when imported into India for being pasted on the blank spaces assigned for the said stickers on such books, from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the said First Schedule to the second- mentioned Act.
2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II - SFC 3(i.)] No. 3|84 CUSTOMG.S.R. 8(E).—In exercise of the powers con- ferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Cus- toms Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub- section (4) of section 45 of the Finance Act, J 983 (11 of 1983), the Central Government, being satis- fied that it is .necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amend- ment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 126;83Customs, dated the 13th May, 1983, namely :—
In the Schedule to the said notification, after Serial No, 242 and the entry relating thereto, the following serial No. and entry shall be inserted, namely :—
"243.-No. 2'84-Cuslonis, dated the .3rd Janu-
ary, 1984".
