JO(E)[18AA|1DRA;S4.—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industrial Development No. S.O. 602(Ejll8AA|IDRAj74, dat;d the 9lh October, 1974 (hereinafter referred to a& the said Order) made in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section J 8AA of the In- dustries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 195 lj, the Central Government authorised a body of persons specified therein to take over the management of Messrs Motor and Machinery Manufacturers Limited, Calcutta, for a period of five years commencing from 9th October, 1974 and the said body of persons was replaced by Shri P. N. Ramachandran, Chief Executive of the said industrial undertaking by Order of the Gov- ernment of India in the Ministry of Industry (De- partment of Industrial Development) No. S.O. 567(E)[18AA|IDRA|78, dated the 25th Septem- ber, 1978 and by Shri K. M. Banerjee, Deputy General Manager, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Calcutta, by the Order of the Govern ment of India in the Ministry of Industry (Del partment of Industrial Development) No. S.O. 866(E)|18AA|1DRA|8O, dated the 29th October, 1980, to take over the management of the said in- dustrial undertaking;
And, whereas, by the Orders of the Govern- ment of India in the Ministry of Industry (De- partment of Industrial Development), No. S.O. 572(E)|18AA|IDRA|79, dated the 8th October, 1979, No. S.O. 738(E)|18AA|IDRA|81, dated the 6th Oct. 81, No. S.O. 263(E)|18AA|IDRA|82. dated the 8th April, 1982, No. S.O. 179(E)|18AAi IDRA|82, dated the 8th October, 1982, No. S.o! 8(E)H8AA|IDRA|83, dated the 7th January. 1983, No. S.O. 282(E)|18AA!lDRj%j83, dated the 8th April, 1983, and No. S.O. 7l8(E)|18AAi IDRAJ83, dated the 7th October, 1983 the dura- tion of the said Order was further extended uptc and inclusive of the 8th January, 1984;
And, whereas, the Central Government is d the opinion that it is expedient in the public interesl that the said Order should continue to have effect for a further period of three months;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers con- ferred by sub-section (2) of section 18AA read with proviso to sub-section (2) of section 18A ol the Industries (Development and Regulatian) Act 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government here- by directs that the said Order shall continue tc have effect for a further period upto and inclusive of the 8th April, 1984.
