NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 19th January, 1984

S.O. 36(E).—In exercise of the powers confer- red by clause (3) of article 77 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Government of India (Allo- cation of Business) Rules,, 1961, namely :—

1. (1) These rules may be called the Govern- ment of India (Allocation of Business) (One hund- red and Sixtieth Amendment) Rules, 1984. 1335GI/83 (1) 2 THE GAZETTE Oh INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II SFC\ 3(ii)]. (2) They shall come into force al once.

2. In the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, in the Second Schedule,—

(a) under the heading "DEPARTMENT OF

ENVIRONMENT",—

(i) for entry 1, the following entry shall be

substituted, namely :—

" 1. Environment and Ecology, including environment in coastal waters, in mangroves and coral reefs but excluding marine environment on the high seas.¹¹;

(ii) after entry S, the following entry shall

be inserted, namely :—

"9. Biosphere Reserve Programme".;

(b) under the heading "DEPARTMENT OF OCEAN DEVELOPMENT", after entry 2, the following entry shall be insertaJ, namely :—

"2A. Marine environment on the high

seas.";

"3. Sports Authority of India.".
