Subject :—Import and Export Policy for April 1983—March

1984—Export of new products or to new markets.

File No- 3/82/83-EPC—Attention is invited to the Import and Export Policy for April 1983—March 1984, published under the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. KMTC (PN)/83 dated the 13th April, 1983, as amended.

2. In terms of para 224 of tho Import policy. Registered Exporters exporting a now product or exporting products to a new market arc eligible for REP licence against such exports at a rate higher by 10% of the normal rate i.o, 11% instead of normal 10%, and so on. This provision is applicable only in respect of the products and the markets which may be specified for the purpose by Ministry of Com/mrce from tim; to time,

3. Ministry of Commerce have specified a list of Engineering Goods covered by Product Group 'A' in Appendix 17, export of which to the markets mentioned against each will qualify for higher REP in terms of para 224 of Import and Rxport Policy (Vol. I), 1983-84. The list is given in Annexuro to this Public Notice.

4. REP benefits will be permissible subject to the exports

having been made as per the relevant policy.

5. This Public Notice is applicable in respect of exports

made on or after 1st April, 1983.

Subject :—Import & Export Policy for April 1983-March 1984 Export of new products or to new markets.

File No. 3/82/83-EPC—-Attention is invited to the Import & Export Policy for-April 1983-March 1984, published under the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 10-ITC(PN)/83 dated the 15th April, 1983, as amended.

2. In terms of Para 224 of the import policy, Registered Exporters exporting a new product or exporting products to a new market are eligible for REP licence against such exports at a rate higher by 10% of the normal rate i.e. 11 % Instead of normal 10%, and so on. This provision is applicable only in respect of the products and the markets which may be speci- fied for the purpose by Ministry of Commerce, from time to time.

3. Ministry of Commerce have specified a list of products

covered by Product Group : B. Chemicals and Allied Pro- ducts, export of which to the markets mentioned against each will qualify for highor REP in terms of Para 224 of Import & Export Policy (Vol. I), 1983-84. The list is given in Annoxure I to this Public Notice.

4. Ministry of Commerce have also specified a list of new products coverod by Product Group : B. Chemicals and Allied Products, export of which to any market will qualify for REP at a higher rate in terms of Para 224 of Import & Export Policy V( I.), 1983-84. The list is at Annexure II to this Public Notice.

5. REP benefits will be permissible subject to the export!
