NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 7th February, 1984
( J . S . R. 54(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (4) of section 3 of the Public Provident Fund Act, 1968 (23 of 1968), the Central Government hereby makes the follow- ing scheme further to amend the Public Provident Fund Scheme, 1968, namely :—
1. (1) This scheme may be called the Public Provident Fund (Amendment) Scheme, 1984.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In he Public Provident Fund Scheme, 1968,—
(a) in sub-paragraph (2A) of paragraph 9, for the words and figures "equal to 50 percent of the balance" the words and figures " not exceeding 50 percent of the balance" shall be substi- tuted;
(b) in Form 'H', for the words and figures "My public Pro- vident Fund account No.—— will complete 15 years,", the words and figures 'LMy Public Provident Fund account No. has completed 15 years" shall be substituted.
