NOTIFICATION

S.R.O. 29-E.—In exercise of the powers con- ferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Cons- titution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Defence Research and Development Organisation Group 'C\ Non-Gazet- ted (Technical, Scientific and other Non-Minister- ial) posts Recruitment Rules, 1968, namely :—

1. (1) These rules may be called the Defence Research and Development Organisation Group "C Non-Gazetted (Technical, Scientific and other Non-Ministerial) posts Recruitment (Amend- ment) Rules, 1984.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of

their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Defence Research and Development Organisation GrouD ' C, Non-Gazetted (Technical, Scientific and other Non-Ministerial) posts Rec- ruitment Rules, 1968, in the Schedule,—

(a) against serial number 1 relating to the

post of Senior Scientific Assistant,—

(i) in column 8, after entry number (iii), the following entry shall be inserted, namely :—

"Or

(ivj Becliclor's degree in Library Science or Diploma in Library Science (one year duration after Graduation) of a re- cognised University or Institute or equivaleni qualifications with three yea^ experience in trie field of docu- mentation.

Or

(b) against serial number 2 relating to the post of Junior Scientific Assistant Grade I, in column 8, after entry number (iii), the following entry shall be inserted,, namely :—

"Or

(iv) Bachelor's degree in Libiary Science or Diploma in I ibrary Science (one .year duration after Graduation) ot a re- cognised University or Institute or equivaleni qualifications with one year expei if. net, in the field of documenta- tion.

Or

(v) Diploma in Printing Technology (Three years duration after Matriculation or ten plus two scheme of education) from a recognised Institute or equiva- lent qualification with one year expe- rience in the field";

(c) against serial number 3 relating to the post of Junior Scientific Assistant Grade- II|Labo'-atory Assistant, in column 8, after entry number (i), the following entry ^hall be inserted, namely :-<-

"Or

(ii) Bachelor's degree in Library Science or Diploma in Library Science (one year duration after Graduation) of a re- cognised Univeisity or Institute or equivalent qualifications.

Or

(iii) Diploma in Printing Technology (Three years duration after Matriculation or ten pius two scheme of education) from a recognised institute or equiva- lent qualification.";

(d) against serial number 4 relating to the

post of Foreman,—

(i) in column 8, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely : —

"Not Applicable":

(ii) in column 11, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :—

"By promotion";

(e) against serial number 5 rilating to the

post of Assistant Foreman,—

(v) Diploma in Printing Technology (Three years duration after Matriculation or Ten plus two scheme of education) from a recognised institution or equi- valent qualification with three years experience in the Jield'':

"One thirc! by direct recruitment and two third by departmental promotion failing which by direct recruitment".

(ii) in column 12. for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :—-

"Chargeman Gmde 1 with three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis failing which Chargeraan Grade-I with combined three years service as Chart^inan Grade-! and 'Chargeman Grade-II or Charge- ma/i Grade-I and Precision Mecha- nic (in the scale of Rs. 425—700), put together.";

(f) against serial number 7 relating to the post df Chargeman Grade II, in .column 12, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :—

(ii) in column 11, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted namely :—

"By promotion";

(iii) in enhimn 12, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, nameiy .—

"Draughtsman Grade I with three years

service in the Grade";

(i) against serial number 11 relating to the

post of Draughtsman Grade I,—

(i) in column 8, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :— "Not Applicable¹';

(ii) in column 11, for the existing entry, the following entry shall *be substituted, namely : —

"By promotion";

(j) serial number 14 relating to the post of Tracer and entries relating thereto shall be omitted :

(ii) in column 11, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :—

"By promotion".

(n) serial number 22 A relating to the post of Librarian Grade IV and entry relating thereto sftall be omitted :

Provided that the persons presently occupy- ing the said post shall continue in their posts till they are promoted in the higher grade or are retired from the said posts :

(o) against serial number 25-B relating to the post of Artist-cum-Photographer in colu- mn 8, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :—

"(i) Matriculation or equivalent qualifica-

tion;

(ii) Four years experience of Photography in scientific and technical fields, includ- ing composing, printing and enlarging of photographs.

(iii) Proficiency in handling various makes of cameras and processing of photogra- phs.":

(p) against serial number 26 relating to the post of Photographer Assistant, in column 8, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :—

"(i) Matriculate or equivalent qualifica-

tion ;

(ii) Three years experience of photography in scientific and technical fields includ- ing composing, printing and enlarging of photographs;

(iii) Proficiency in handling various makes of cameras and processing of photogra- phs.";

(q) against serial number 27 relating to the post of Photographer Grade I, in column 8, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely • — "(i) Matriculation or equivalent qualifica-

tion;

(ii) Three yean experience of photography scientific|and technical fields including composing, printing and enlarging of photographs;

(iii) Proficiency in handling various makes of cameras and processing of photo- graphs."
