, No. 602/8/83-NF-L—The Newsprint Advisory Committee set op by the Government of India for the first time, in pursuance of the recommendations of the Estimates Committee, on July 29, 1964 to advise the Government OQ questions on policy re- garding the import and allocation of newsprint and printing machinery for nowspapers and other cognato matters is re- constituted as under wiLh immediate effect:—

2. The Committee wiJl ordinarily meet twice a year.
3. The Chairman will have the powers to co-opt additional members and to invite such officials and non-officials to attend the meetings as he considers appropriate.
4. Tho term of membership of non-official members will bo for two years from tho date of appointment but the retiring members will be eligible for reappointment-
5. Membership^of the Committee will be honorary, but nou- offleial members will be entitled to travelling allowance and daily alluwance in accordance with the Ministry of Finance Office Memorandum No. F. (26) E. IV/59 dated 5-94960, as amended from time to time.
