RESOLUTION
New Delhi, the 6th April, 1984
SUBJECT :— High Powered Board for the formulation and the implementation of the development plans for the Delhi Metropolitan Area ; and the National Capital Region —

No. K. 14011/1/84-UDlVA:—The High Powered Bo?rd for the formulation ani irrulemontation of the development plants of thi Delhi Metropolitan Arc and the National Capital Region which vf.xs constituted vide Ministry of Health Resolu- tion No- F, 10/79/60-LSG, dated the 31st July, 1961 and re- constituted vide trie Ministry of Works & Housing Resolu- tion No. 8—6/69-UD-II, dated 31st May, 1973 is hereby revived and entrusted with the task of examining all current land use proposals and development plans of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi which have an immediate bearing of the total infra-structure, service transportation pattern, employ- ment, housing and land use of the National Capital Region area in general and Delhi Metropolitan Area, in particular. Till such time as the proposed statutory body come* into b;ing, the High Powered Board would exercise the same functions as would be exercised later by the proposed statutory authority The composition of the reconstituted High Powered Board is as follows :—

2. The terms of reference of the Board will be as under:—
(1) to ensure that coordinated plans are prepared for the Metropolitan Region (including the ring towns) and if necessary also for the National Capital Region through the agencies under the administrative control of each of the Governments participating;
(ii) tc ensure the provision of adequate funds for the preparation and implementation of the plans on a phased and integrated basis so that the development is balanced over the wh.ile area on the basis oi the accepted proposals in the plan or plans;
(iii) to guide the various agencies for the implementation
of the plans in the different are us;
(iv) to consider. ny ^cposals that may come up from time to time from the various planning agencl;s in the diffe rent are is for the modification uf the plan ace trding to changing needs and circumstances.
