New Delhi, the 15th March, 1984.
S.R.O. 38(E).—In exercise of the powers conferre^by sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Armed Forces (Emergency Duties) Act, 1947 (15 of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares every service in the ports, specified in column (1) of the Table below located, in the SUtes and the Union Territories specified against each port in column (2) of the said Table to be a service of vital importance to the community.
