New Delhi, the 31st March, 1984
G.S.R. 253(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sec- tion 83 of the Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 1976 (60 of 1976), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Standards of Weights and Measures XPackaged Commodities) Rules, 1977, namely :—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Standards of Weights and
Measures (Packaged Commodities) Amendment Rules, 1984.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publica-
tion in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Standards of Weights,and Measures (Packaged Com- modities) Rules, 1977, in the "Note" in the end of the Third Sche- dule, for the figures an*wo"i "31st Marsh, 198 V, thefiguresand word "30th April, 1984" shall be substituted.
