G S.R. 254(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the

Government of India in '.he Ministry of Finan;e (Department of Revenue) No. RO-Customs, dated the 31st March. 1979 namely :—

In the said notification.—

(i) in paragraph 1, in item (a), for the words, figures and brackets "so much of that portion ot the duly of customs leviable thereon under the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act. 1975 (51 of 1975), JS ii in excess of 15 per cent ad valorem" the words, hgurcN and brackets "the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975)", shall b= substituted;

(U) in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1984", the figures, letters and words "31st day ol March, 1987" shall be substi- tuted.

G.S.R. 255(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-clause (4) of clause 36 of the Finance Bill, 1984, which clause has, by virtue of the declara- tion made in the said Bill under the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1931 (16 of 1931), the force of law. the Central Government being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue I No. 56/84-Customs, dated the 1st March. 1984, namely :—

and the entry relating thereto shall be omitted. -

In the said notification, in paragraph 2, for the figures, letters and words '31st day of March, 1984", the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1985" shall be subs- tituted.

of Revenue) ^ o. 89-Customs, dated the 30th March, 1981, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts Primiphos Methyl 23 per, cent wdp, when imported into Indl"i for use exclusively in the National Malaria Eradication Progiamme for public health purposes, from—

G.S.R. 261(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied thai it is necessary in the public intprwt to to tlo, hereby makes tho following further amendment in the notification of the Gov- ernment of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 179-Customs, dated the 22nd August, 1979. namely:—.

(a) the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), and

(b) the whole of the additional duty leviable thereon

under section 3 of the said Customs Tariff Act:

In paragraph 2 of the said notification,, for the figures, letters and words "31st day of March, 1984", the figures, letters and words "30th day of June, 1984" shall be substi- tuted.

Provided that the importer, by execution of a bond in such form and in such sum as may b":,specified by tbo Assistant Collector of Customs, binds himself to pay on demand, in respect of such quantity of the said Primiphos Methyl 25 p"r cent wdp which it not' proved to the satisfac- tion of the Assistant Collector of Customs to have been uied for the aforesaid purpose, an amount equal to tho difference between the duty leviable on such quantity but for the exemption contained herein and that already paid at the time of Importation.
