G.S.R. 269(E).—In exercise of the powers con- ferred by sub-Item (1) of Item No. 3 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and rule 96-F of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the noti- fication of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No, 184|81- iCentral Excises, dated the 5th November, 1981 namely :—
In the said notification, in the Table,-^-
(1) Jn Zone I, in column 2, for the words "Districts of Goalpara and Cachar", the words "Districts of Kokrajhar, Dhubri, (2) in Zone n, in column 2, for the words "Districts of Nowgaon, Kamrup and Barsola Circle in Tezpur sub division", the words "Districts of Nowgaon, Bar- peta, Kamrup and Barsola Circle in the District of Sonitpur" shall be substituted;
(3) in Zone IV, in column 2, for the words "Mangal Dai sub-division of the District of Darrang", the words **District of Darrang" shall be substituted;
(4) in Zone V, in column 2, for the entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely :—
"Districts of Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur, Sibsa- gar, Jorhat and Sonitpur, but excluding Barsola Circle in the District of Sonit- pur"
