ORDER New Delhi, the 7fh April, 1984
No/S.O. 271(E)|18AAIIDRA|84.—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in the late Ministry of Industrial Development No. S.O. 602(E)|18AA|IDRA|74, dated the 9th October, 1974 (hereinafter referred to as the said Order) made in exercise of the powers conferred by cla- use (b) of sub-section (I) of Section 18AA of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government authorised a body of persons spechied therein to take over the management of Messrs Motor and Machinery Manufacturers Limited, Calcutta, for a period of five years com- mencing from 9th October 1^74 and the said body of persons was replaced by Shri P. N. Ramachandran, Chief Executive of the said in- dustrial undertaking by Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry (Department of Industrial Development) No. S.O. 567(E)| 18AA|IDRA|78, dated the 25th September, 1978 and by Shri K, M. Banerjee, Deputy General Manager, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Cal- cutta, by the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry (Department of Indus- trial Development) No. S.O. 886(E)|18AA|1DRA| 80, dated the 29th October, 1980, to take over the management of the said industrial undertak- ing;
And, whereas, by the Orders of the Govern- ment of India in the Ministry of Industry (Depart- ment UL industrial Development) No. S.O. 572(E)| 18AA|rDRA|79, dated 8th October, 1979; No. S, O. 738(E)|l'8AA|IDRAj81, dated the 6th October, 1981, No. S. O. 263(E)|18AA|IDRA 82, dated the 8th, April, 1982, No. S. O. 719(E) 18AA|IDRA|82, dated the 8th, October, 1982, No. S. O. 8(E)|18AA[IDRA|83. dated the 7th January, 1983, No. S. O. 282(E)|18AA|IDRA|83, dated the 8th April, 1983, No. S. O. 718(E)| 18AA|IDRA|83, dated the 7th October, 1983, and No. S.O. 10(E)ll8AA|IDRA|84, dated the 7th January, 1984, the duration of the said Order was further extended upto and inclusive of the 8th April, 1984;
And, whereat, the Central Government is of the opinion that it is expedient in the public in- terest that the said Order should continue to have effect for a further period of three months;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers con- ferred by sub-section ,(2) of section 18AA read with proviso to sub-section (2) of section ISA of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby directs that the said Order shall continue to have effect for a further period, upto and inclusive of the 8th July, 1984.
