of 1951), the following declaration containing the name of the C&jidatc elected to fill the seat in the Council of " p es of one member retiring on . the 12th April, 1984, on the expiration of his term of office, is published for general information :—

DECLARATION

Election to ths Council of States by the elect- ed members of the Legislative Assemb- ly of Meghalaya.

"In pursuance of the provisions contained in section 66 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, read with clause (a) of sub-rule (1) of rule 84 of the Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961, I declare that—

Shri Jerlie E. Tariang (Name) Lummawbah, Shillong, (Address) has been duly elected to fill the seat in that House of a member retiring on the 12th April, 1984 on the expiration of his term of office.
