New Delhi, the 27th April, 1984

S.O. 322(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (3) of section 1 of the Chit Funds Act, 1982 (40 of 1982), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of May, 1984, as the date on which the provisions of the said Act shall come into force in the Union territory of Chandigarh,
