Act, 1976 (21 of 1976) the Central Government, on being requested so to do by Corporation Bank establishes with effect from 28-4-1984 a Regional Rural Bank in the State of Karnataka under the name of Chikmagalur-Kodagu Grameena Bank which shall operate within the local limits of the Districts of Chikmagalur and Kodagu in the State of Karnataka.

S.O. 328(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 4 of the Regional Rural Banks Act. 1976 (21 of 1976) the Central Government, after consulta- tion with the Reserve Bank of India and Corporation Bank by which Chikmagalur-Kodagu Grameena Bank has been sponsored specifies Chikmagalur as the place where Chikma- galur-Kodagu Grameena Bank shall have its head office.

2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART I—SEC. 3(ii)]S.O 329 (E).—In pursuance of sub-clause {ili) of clause GO of sub-section (6) of section 42 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 (2 of 1934) the Central Government hereby notified, for "the purposes of the said sub-clause, Chlkmaga- lur-Kodagu Grameena Bank, Chikmagalur being an institu- tion established under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976).

NOTIFICATION
S.O. 33l(E).—In pursuance of claim© (a) of sub-section (6) of Section 42 of tho Reserve Bank of India Act. 1934 (2 of 1934), the Reserve Bank of India hereby directs the inclusion in the Second Schedule to the said Act of the following bank, namely :—
"Chikmagalur-Kodagu Gramcena Bank, Chilcmagalur
(Karnataka)".
S.O. 33O(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sab-section (1) of section 11 of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976) the Central Government hereby appoints Shri K. Achutha Pai a" Chairman of the Chikma- galur-Kodagu Gramcena Bank, Chikmagalur and specifies the pariod commencing on 28-4-19.84 and ending with 30-4-987 as tri* period for which the said Shri K. Achutha pai shall bold office a" such Chairman.
