H|No. 17|84.~In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to rule 3 of ths Central Board of Excise and Cusotms (Regulation of Transaction of Business) Rules, 1964, the Central Government hereby authorises Shri J. Datta, a Member of the Central Board of Excise and Customs to discharge, in addi- tion to his own duties as Member (Customs), the functions of the Chairman, during the period of absence of the Chairman on foreign tour with effect from 14th May, 1984.
