2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(I)Jto to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Go\ternment of India in the Ministry of Finance (Deparment of Revenue) No. 32- Customs^ dated the 1st March, 1983, namely —
In tho said notification, after paragraph 2, the following Explanation shall be inserted, namely :—

- shall mean 'branched chain Alkylate Banzcnc also popularly known as 'hard alkylate^' but shall not include Linear Alkyl Banzene (LAB) popularly, known us 'Soft Alky- lae'." [F. No. 355|123|84-Cus. I] G.SR. 444(E,).—Tn exercise of the powers con- ferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Coustom& Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interst so to do, hereby exempts jumbo rolls of graphic art ijlms and jumbo rolls of photographic colour paper of width exceeding one metre, falling within Chapter 37 of the First Schedule to the Cus- toms Tariff Act. 1975 (51 of 1975), when import- ed into India, from .so much of that portion of the duty of customs leviable thereon under tho said First Schedule as is in excess of the amount calcula- ted at the rate of 60 per cent ad valorem 2, This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive of the 30th day of June, 1985.
