ORDER
New Delhi, the 15th June, 1984
S, O. 446(E):—Whereas by the Order of the Government of India in Ministry of Commerce No. S. O. 350(E)dated the 20th June, J979 (hereinafter referred to as tJic said Order) the manage- ment, of the tea unit known as Potong Tea Estate, P. O-, Belgachi, Kurseong. Darjeeling District, was taken over under clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 16(E) of the Tea Act, 1953 (29 of 1953), for a period of five years upto and inclusive of the 19th June, 1984 and M|s. Andrew Yule & Company Limited, Calcutta was authorised to take over the management of the said tea unit.
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that it is expedient in the public interest that the said tea unit should continue under the management of M|s. Andrew Yule & Company Limited, Calcutta for a further period of six months;
Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (2) of Section 16(E) read with the proviso to sub-section (2) of section 16(D) of the Tea Act 1953 (29 of 19D3), the Central Government hereby directs that the said Order shall continue to have effect for a further period of six months upto and inclusive of the 19th December, 1984.
