New Delhi, the 18th June, 1984
S. O. 454(E):—In pursuance of section 12 of the Represen- tation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the President is pleased to call upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the Union territory of Mizoram, to elect, in accor- dance with the provisions of the said Act and the rules and orders made thereunder, one member for filling the seat of a member of the Council of States who would be retiring on the 16th July, 1984, on the expiration of his term of office.
