2. In the Railway Board Secretariat Service (Section Officers1 Grade Departmental Competitive Examination) Regulations, 1972, for sub-regula- tion (a) of regulation 1, the following sub-regula- tion shall be substituted, namely :—
MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS
"(a) 'Crucial date' means the first day oi July of the year in which the examination is held".

G.S.R. 462(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 2 of the Sche- dule to the Railway Board Secretariat Service Rules, 1969, the Central Government in the Minis- try of Railways, in consultation with the Union Public Service Commission hereby makes the following regulations to amend the Railway Board Secretariat Service (Section Officers' Grade Depart- mental Competitive Examination) Regulations, 1972, namely : —
