NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 22nd June, 1984
S.O. 460(E).~—In exercise of the powers con- ferred by section 3 of the Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920 (34 of 1920) the Central Govern- ment hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Passport (Entry into India) Rules, 1950, namely :—
1. (1) These rules may be. called the Passport (Entry into India) Third Amendment Rules, 1984.
(2) It shall come into force on the 24th Day of
June, 1984.
2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART I I - S EC . 3(ii)f 2. In the Passport (Entry into India) Rides, 19503—in clause (iva) of rule 5, after the existing proviso the following proviso shall be in- serted, namely :—
"Provided further that the Central Government, may, by notification in the Official Gazette, suspend the operation of this clause in respect of ;iny or all the aforesaid countries at any time if it deems it necessary so to do in the public interest".

S.O. 461 (E).—In pursuance of the second proviso to clause (iva) of rule 5 "of the Passport (Entry into- India) Rules, 1950, the Central Government hereby suspends the operation of the aforesaid clause (iva) with effect from 24th June, 1984, until further orders.
