NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 17th July, 1984

S.O. 519(E).—Whereas election has been held in pursuance of Notification No. S.O. 454(E), dated the 18th June, 1984, issued under section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), for the purpose of filling the seat of- -a member of the Council of States elected by the Electoral College (elected members of the Legislative Assembly) of the Union territory of Mizoram who retired on 16th July, 1984, on the expiration of his term of office.

Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 71 of the Represen- tation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the name of the member elected by the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the Union territory of Mizorani is hereby notified for general information :—
