2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)]toms Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 21-Customs, dated the 11th March, 1967, the Central Government hereby appoints—
(a) Deputy Collector of Customs, Kandla, to be the Additional Collector of Cus- toms;
(b) Assistant Collector of Customs, Kandla Free Trade Zone, to be the Assistant Collector of Customs;
(c) Appraiser, Examiner and Preventive Officer, Kandla Free Trade Zone, to be Officers of Customs;
(d) Administrative Officer, Security Officer, Jamadars, Security Guards and Sepoys, Kandla Free Trade Zone to be Officers of Customs within the jurisdiction of the Additional Collector of Customs specified in clause (a),
for the Kandla Free Trade Zane and the area with- in a radius of 8 kilometres all around that Zone.
Explanation.—For the purposes of this notifi- cation, the Kandla Free Trade Zone shall comp- rise the places bearing the survey numbers and enclosed by the boundaries as are specified in para- graph 3 of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 77-Customs, dated the 17th April, 1980, issued under subsection (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962).
