New Delhi, the 31st July, 1984
S.O. 549(E).—In pursuance of sub-section (7) of section 7 of the High Denomination Bank Notes (Demonetisation) Act, 197S (11 of 1978), the Central Government hereby authorises Shri Ashok Chandra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Depart- ment of Economic Affairs (Banking Division), New Delhi, as the authority lo extend in any case or class of cases, the period during which high denomination bank notes may be tendered for exchange under the said section.
