Subject : Notification of Result to Bye- Election - reg
With reference to the above cited subject, the Notification No. 7-2/EC/DNHⅅ/2022 & 7-2/EC/DNHⅅ/2022(i) dated 24/01/2023 issued by the Election Commissioner for UTs is hereby published in the Official Gazette of this U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu for General information.

NOTIFICATION
No. 7-2/EC/DNHⅅ/2022: Whereas, a casual vacancy had occurred in the Gram Panchayat, Galonda, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, due to death of its member elected to Ward No.01/11;
And whereas, the Election Commission for the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, vide Notification No. 7-2/EC/DNHⅅ/2022 dated 13th January, 2023 had inter-alia called upon the aforesaid Gram Panchayat to elect a member to fill the said vacancy;
And, whereas, after the last date for withdrawal of candidatures on 23.01.2023, only one contesting candidate was left in the fray and the Returning Officer has declared the said candidate as elected member to Ward No.01/11 of Gram Panchayat Galonda, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, under rule 39(1) of the Dadra and Nagar Haveli Panchayats (Election Procedure) Rules, 2014;
Now, therefore, in terms of Rule 90 of the said rules, the Election Commission for the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu hereby notifies Shri Dhinkar Uttambhai Mahdubhai as member elected to Ward No. 01/11 of Gram Panchayat Galonda, Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

NOTIFICATION
No. 7-2/EC/DNHⅅ/2022(i): Whereas, a casual vacancy had occurred in the Gram Panchayat, Antiawad, Daman, due to resignation of its Sarpanch;
And whereas, the Election Commission for the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, vide Notification No. 7-2/EC/DNHⅅ/2022 (i) dated 13th January, 2023 had called upon the aforesaid Gram Panchayat to elect a Sarpanch to fill the said vacancy;
And, whereas, after the last date for withdrawal of candidatures on 23.01.2023, only one contesting candidate was left in the fray and the Returning Officer has declared the said candidate as the elected Sarpanch to Gram Panchayat Antiawad, Daman, under Rule 39(1) of the Daman and Diu Panchayats (Election Procedure) Rules, 2014;
Now, therefore, in terms of Rule 90 of the said rules, the Election Commission for the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu hereby notifies Smt Urvashi Jayeshkumar Patel as the elected Sarpanch to Gram Panchayat Antiawad, Daman.
