N O T I F I C A T I O N

WHEREAS, a proposal had been received from the Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Daman / DNH for rationalizing the number of Gram Panchayats for enhancing efficiency on account of Administrative needs in Daman / DNH.

WHEREAS, the following Gram Panchayats were consulted for the exclusion of Territorial Areas on special Gram Sabha on account of Order No. F. No. JS/PRI/GP-SPL-Meeting/2025/272, dated 29/07/2025, issued by the Joint Secretary PRI, UT of DNH & DD Under Section 6 of the Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Panchayat Regulation, 2012, and the same were held on dates cited hereunder for creation of new Gram Panchayats from the excluded territorial areas, in which the said Gram Panchayats has resolved to create new Gram Panchayats by excluding existing territorial areas, as under;

AND WHEREAS, the Administrator, UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, on due consideration of the above proposal and after making such inquiries as thought necessary considered the consultation of Panchayat Resolution of abovesaid Gram Panchayats for creation of additional Gram Panchayats from said Gram Panchayats.

NOW THEREFORE, after making such inquiries as deemed necessary, in exercise of his powers under clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman andDiu Panchayat Regulation, 2012, the Administrator of UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & EXTRAORDINARY No. 100 THE GAZETTE OF DNH & DD Page 3 Diu, is pleased to exclude the following Panchayat areas from the territorial jurisdiction of Gram Panchayats, as under;

On exclusion of the above local areas of village / falias from the territorial jurisdiction of saidGram Panchayats, the Administrator of UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, after making such Inquiries as deemed necessary and in exercise of his powers under sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Panchayat Regulation, is pleased to re-notify and declare local areas comprising of the followingEXTRAORDINARY No. 100 THE GAZETTE OF DNH & DD Page 4 villages / falias of existing Gram Panchayats for the purpose of the said Regulation and specify their Headquarters as indicated against each.

Administrator is pleased to constitute separate Gram Panchayat as named below for the Panchayat areasEXTRAORDINARY No. 100 THE GAZETTE OF DNH & DD Page 5 indicated against each, on recommendations of Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Daman / DNH ;

"Above mentioned newly created Gram Panchayats shall come into force from the date of their

first election. Therefore, it shall not affect any representation in the existing Gram Panchayats (from

which these newly created Gram Panchayats are being carved out) till the completion of their present

term."
