PRESS NOTE

As per the direction of the Election Commission for UTs, New Delhi, the Draft Electoral Roll in respect of Municipal Council of Daman District with reference to 01/01/2025 as the qualifying date of Daman District have been prepared in accordance with rule 11 of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Municipal Councils (Election) Rules, 2025, the same has been published on 11/09/2025. The Draft Electoral Roll in respect of Municipal Council of Daman District will be available for scrutiny of public from 11/09/2025 to 25/09/2025 in the office of the undersigned, Office of the BDO/AERO, Daman Municipal Council of Daman District and Election Department, Collectorate, Daman respectively.

As required under Rule 13 of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Municipal Councils (Election) Rules, 2025 any suggestion and objection shall be lodged on or before 25/09/2025 in Form 2, incomplete forms will not be accepted. Form 2 is available at the above mentioned offices free of cost, hand written, typed or multigraph application in the prescribed form will also be accepted at the aforesaid offices.

Public in General and Political Parties in particular are requested to scrutinize the Draft Electoral Rolls for filling of suggestion and objections for which the time limit is 25/09/2025.

For further details, the BLO of respective Polling Stations of Daman Municipal Wards, the office of the Electoral Registrations Officer and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer, Daman may be contacted.

Notice of Publication of Electoral Roll in Draft

To The Electors of the Ward 1 to 15 Municipal Council

Notice is hereby given that the electoral roll has been prepared in accordance with the Rule 11 of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu Municipal Council (Election) Rules, 2025 and a copy thereof is available for inspection at my Office and at Daman Municipal Council during office hours.

If there be any suggestion or objection to the inclusion or exclusion of names of voters residing within the territorial limits of the said ward, as appear in the electoral roll relating to the House of the People Constituency. It should be lodged on or before 25/09/2025 in Form 2.

Every such suggestion or objection (in duplicate) should either be presented in my office or to Daman Municipal Council or sent by post to the address given below so as to reach me not later than the aforesaid date.
