Details of Public Hearing

Upon issuance of the said Preliminary Notification, 8 objections were received from the owners of the acquired lands. Most of the Objections of all parties are similar in nature so all of them are clubbed under the broad objections & are considered by detail enquiry. A detailed reasoning on all objections is as below:

Sr. No Objector Objection Remarks
1. Advt. M. D. Khuti written submission on behalf of 17 objectors and 6 objectors personally attended the meeting. By the present acquisition, MDR of Nagoa Vanakbara is getting closed & some part of the temple is also getting affected, so it's better to avail the option of sideward parallel transfer of Airstrip, and similar advantages of sideward transfers are also shown. By the Sideward transfer option, the airstrip will likely turn into a greenfield project for which the necessary approvals/clearances are not in place. The proposal is for a brownfield extension of the airstrip, hence, the sideward parallel transfer Option is not feasible. Regarding the blocking of Nagoa-Vanakbara road, the government. It is already in the process of widening the road in front of hotels in Nagoa to accommodate the traffic load. Moreover, the Option of an underpass is also under Consideration. Also, the main structure of the temple is not at all affected by the acquisition. Also, the cost will be increased in greenfield concrete laying, and huge forest area will be lost.
2. Heirs/Occupants of 150/0 claim that their entire land shall be taken into acquisition, as there will be no access left. Only the minimum required land area shall be taken from the survey as necessary for the Airstrip expansion. Easement rights for access shall be granted upon request under relevant laws.
3. Some people objected to demarcation to clearly spell out the area & Clear whether their home is getting affected. The Joint Survey team is directed to show the area to people & upon report, only one house Concrete structure, is getting affected. R & R administrator will follow the necessary process for compensation & rehabilitation.
4. Mani Bawa objected to multiple land acquisitions. Land acquisition is being done as & when required for the project basis & it is ensured that only the minimum area out of private land will be taken for the project.
5. Survey No. 154/4 has objected that their land is NA Upon the joint report, it is found that part 20 sq. mts of NA-granted land is under acquisition and 224 sq. mts. of agricultural land of Survey No. 154/4 is under acquisition. Same to be corrected accordingly.
